Sudakova Sofia is a photographer and street artist from the Ukrainian hero city Mariupol.
She first took a film camera in hand in 2015 and since then she has been inseparable from it. At an early age she was fascinated by the fact that the result of shooting on film is always unpredictable. This passion grew into a detailed study of various cameras, films, and developing systems. The photographer sees her inspiration in everyday life, so in her photographs you will see random and non-random people meeting on her life path, the city landscapes that surround her, but in different personally selected colors. At school Sofia was also interested in street art. It was then that she began to notice the graffiti on the walls and buy budget markers in order to take part in the street "murals" herself. Wall tagging was just the beginning for Sofia. She always liked to draw, and in particular she is fascinated by calligraphy.
The artist started painting walls in 2018, and already in 2019 she and her friends created their own team Cowabunga in Mariupol. Now all her students have been separated and scattered around the world after the war broke in.
Sofia studied winemaking in Kharkiv for about a year, because she was interested in learning new things, but she was even more fascinated by practical psychology, which the talented young artist and photographer studied in Mariupol.
Despite the wide range of activities, street art and photography have a special place in Sofia's life. And now being in a new place, in Berlin, where she contemplates a huge number of interesting locations and beautiful people, she has a second wind and with it the motivation and desire to create has returned.
