Alexander Zelenkov is a 24-year-old civil engineer from Kyiv.
He has been working in the profession more than 2 years. Alexander also has experience in designing residential and office buildings for Israel and industrial complexes for the Ukrainian market. The projects that were intended for the latter, unfortunately, cannot be implemented due to the escalation of the war (some of them are shown in the photographs presented here).
Meanwhile his work and university, the young engineer was interested in contemporary art, brutalist architecture and minimalism of the 20th century. Alexander was greatly influenced by the joint work on concepts with Sofia Yesakova. After years of practice and communication, they came to the conclusion that they could work on joint installation projects using a schematic, formal language.
Alexander is sure that the path of contemporary art in the 21st century is a combination of the scientific and the conceptual. Using own experience in building design and Sophia Yesakova's experience in art, they would like to realize a joint project, which they have been thinking about since the beginning of the escalation of Russian aggression in Kyiv. The main theme and goal of the project is rational and scientific reflection on such a super-emotional experience as war.
